Biography
Kama Balluchi is a South African contemporary fine artist working between oil, resin, acrylic and mixed media. Her practice began in classical painting disciplines before moving toward the layered, material-led surfaces that define her current collections.
Working from a private studio, she produces a deliberately limited number of original works each year. Each piece is one-of-one, hand finished, and released through private collector channels rather than open public sale.
Artist Statement
Her work is concerned with depth — physical, emotional and temporal. Layers are built, obscured and revealed until the surface holds a history of its own making. Nothing is decorative; every gesture is a record.
The private collector model is an extension of that philosophy. A work that has been endlessly reproduced across screens has already been consumed. Restraint returns the artwork to the collector who lives with it.

Studio Process
Each work is developed over weeks to months — ground preparation, build, cure, hand finishing and final sealing — then documented and certified before release to a collector.
